Hmmmm, a couple quick fixes would be a product called Dam Rid or a better thing may be a big container of rice in each one, just take them out before hitting the water![]()
Are both the compartments carpeted and have the foam underneath the lids??
yes both are carpet with foam underneath. got a rod out yesterday and it was so wet looked liked you left the lid up while it was raining, hasn't rained in a week.
Make sure the foam undeneath the lid has an "indention" from the rubber seal kit that is on top of the compartment, if not, your seal kit isn't doing the job. That seal kit should literally "dig into" the foam to keep everything dry and air tight.
Also, do you have a recessed pedal? If you do, make sure the pedal's drain tube is draining to the BOTTOM of the boat and not the compartments. I've had to fix this on a couple of guys Bullets for them.
DO you still have the rubber seals on the boxes or have they fell off?
still have the seals on it and i do have the recess, it's not leaking it's like it's sweating
My seals mess up and kept coming off so I pulled them off and just left the pinch moulding on and mine started to sweat too.... Just a thought.
Mine does the same thing when the carpet gets wet. It wicks under the compartment and looks like dew on everything. Mine is in the garage so I leave the lids open til the carpet dries out.
Jas 4:8 Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you.....
do you store your boat "bow high"? if you dont jack the bow of the boat up, wet carpet will go towards the rod locker
