SALTWATER SERIES 250 EFI question...bassboat compatible???

i'm looking at upgrading engines and i've got my eye on a 250 EFI 03 model...its a saltwater series... i'm gonna drop it on my 96' mid section/lower unit...
Do the salterwater series perform like a regular EFI does???
    meaning topend, and reliability....

im putting it on my BASSBOAT (fresh water)

It would be helpful to know what you current engine is (to accurately answer your question).

    hey don i've got a 1996 225 EFI...
    2 big questions...
    1) does a saltwater series perform differently than a freshwater?
    2) will my 96 model midsection work on this 2003 250 EFI? i need to get it back to the 20" length...the 250 is currently a 25"

You should be able to install the fully-dressed powerhead on your midsection.

However, you will likely need to change out the tuner (I would recommend this).

It would otherwise bolt right in place of your current powerhead (to the midsection).

Performance will be similar, although the saltwater series utilizes the 555-based processor and single-plate (top-loaded) intake. Dependable performer.
