    Bow Panel Cover

When I ordered my new Bullet 20XRD, I ordered it with the 3 sportshields (Back Splash, Sportshield and Bow Panel Cover) The dealership installed the sportshield (windshield) and Back Splash. They did not install the bow panel cover because they said it would have to be cut to fit?? I told them to just give it to me and I would take care of installing it. Well after looking things over, it looks like I may have a problem plugging the troll motor in if the bow panel cover is installed. Has anyone experienced this problem? I'm sure there are many bullet boats that have the bow panel cover with trolling motors plugged in. I want to make sure it's going to work before I drill any holes in my boat! Any help would be appreciated!
    Thanks,
    Mark

Mine is cracked from the cable on the TM bouncing on it.

It is kinda tight on mine but it does work. The cover does rub the troller plug a little but it doesn't hurt anything on mine. I did kinda squeeze mine together just a hair to make it bulge up a tiny bit in the center. You can't tell it but I know its there, seemed to work fine for me. I just drilled and screwed the center hole and drilled the other 2 with a little bow, don't know if it was the right way but it was my way

Didn't have that problem on my 20xd.. There was just enough clearance not to be a problem.. I did install mine myself, not sure if I moved it back a little to help or not..

    Hey Daddychatham,

Would it be possible for you to post a picture so that I can see how yours looks? If you have trouble posting a picture, can you email me one?
    Thanks,
    Mark

They work fine on the XD's they never built a new one for the XRD and they just won't work right. As mentioned earlier you can install it so it bows up a little but it's not gonna fit the lines as intended. I ordered one as well and never used it, traded it back for some hats and tee shirts.

    Re: Bow Panel Cover (Bassinracer)

Mark is the top cap not the same on the XRD's?? From what I remember there is no room to move the bow switch panel up so it would stayin the same place as the other models but the deck is raised.. if the panel stayed in the same place then why don't the bow shield fit??

I'm gonna have to look at Rich's XRD and see what changed

Can you hard wire the TM and get rid of the plug. IF you pull the TM off that's not an option though.

Lou, the panel up front is at less of an angle on my XRD than it was on my XD, so in turn the TM plug sticks up higher, I can see where the Bow Panel Cover wouldn't fit correctly on an XRD.

    Re: Bow Panel Cover (av)

Hey Lou, How's it going, hope alls good for you. The difference in the top cap is very little gunnel on the xrd as compared to the xd and that's were the problem is, you could hard wire your TM and get rid of the plug but I think you'd have trouble accessing the swithes with a bow cover panel on an XRD.

    Re: Bow Panel Cover (Bassinracer)

Thanks guys for trying to help. Until it was mentioned I didn't realize it would fit differently on an XD verses an XRD. My brother has a 21XD so I tried it on his boat to see how it would fit. It fits perfectly. Because of the raised deck on the XRD, it won't fit properly because of the angle of the panel. Hopefully Bullet will make one for the XRD!
    Thanks,
