Re-break in?

Well, thanks to all of your help I am at a point were I will be putting the boast in the water for its maiden votage on Friday, THANK YOU!!
My question is: I am going to assume the engine has ben sitting for atleast 6 months and as much as a year, is there a "re-break in" process?Common sence tells me not to hammer it right of the bat, but am I safe to work my way up to WOT on the maiden voyage?

There are many other factors but my main concern would be how bad is the gas that's been sitting that long.
Bad fuel can burn a piston in a heart beat, especially running it hard.

Verify that you have CLEAN, FRESH FUEL. Don't attempt to run 6-12 month old fuel through your engine!

Once you've done so.... and checked everything over (ALL MAINTENANCE ITEMS SHOULD BE VERIFIED), launch and start the engine.

Allow it to warm up adequately.

Accelerate SLOWLY..... monitoring water pressure and warnings.

I would recommend running the engine up to 2500 RPM's for 1 minute, and then 3500 for several minutes.

If all is well, gradually increase RPM's while monitoring carefully.

Don't forget to allow the engine to idle for at least 60 seconds prior to shutdown.

Fuel tank was drained about two months ago, and then I put about 45 gallons of treated fuel, so I am all set there..
THanks for the tips on the RPM range/times and I was not aware of the 60 second "cool down" period before shutting down, THANKS!!

The engine is very hot inside so it´s good to let the temperature level before shutdown.
