help 250 xs tr 21x triton

help i have a 06 triton tr21x with a 06 250 xs ser. num 1e000859 back down to the water yesterday and started to trim my motor down it worked for a sec then quit. also my acc. board on my dash that controls my power, livewells light ect dont work now also my depth finders. so i come home and the trim starts working again but the panel still doesnt. i would think maybe a fuse but i looked at all i see and they look good. i checkd the fuses at the batt with a test light and they checked good any suggestions? thanks oh any ideas why my trim didnt work then did when i came home? this all started when the trim quit. thanks

Pull the fuses and inspect them all. I had a fuse go bad on me that tested fine when using a test light...i was putting enough pressure at the top of the fuse to bridge the gap where it was broken and it tested "good". Only found it once i pulled the fuse that it was in fact bad.

I'd start with something a little more obvious.

CLEAN your battery connections. Make sure that the ENGINE cable is installed FIRST, then stack remaining lugs "largest to smallest". Finish off the connection with a Stainless Steel Locknut (DON'T use wingnuts).

If the problem is still present.... we'll go from there.

its the touch panel. i do have wing nuts on the battery but never had a problem before. ill put nuts on it when i get home. what gets me is every thing works now but the panel. it always turned over. is there a circuit breaker for it somwhere? i tried calling my dealer but he wont return my calls ever now that he sold me this boat. the funny thing is i only had this boat out 5 times since i bought it a few months ago and twice its been broke down. the first time the motor would not idle, then this. guess i just got a lemon.

ok don i replaced the wingnuts with stainless steel nuts and still there is no power going to the console also my horn is down under my shifter and it doesnt work either. my triton has a breaker panel under the console and all of the breakers are pushed in like they are supposed to be. my terminals are clean and tight.

In an effort to save you some time.... could you snap a couple of pictures of your battery, battery connections, and the cables running between the battery and the circuit panel (inside the rear compartment where the battery switch/circuit breakers are)?

Feel free to post them here, or if you prefer, drop me an email (<<<----- email address is in my profile to the left).

Also.... you have load tested your battery to CONFIRM it's good, correct?
