    DDT question ????????????

I finally got my motor together enough to plug in my DDT, but I'm not getting anything on the screen. Here's what I've got S/N OG362837 250 EFI:

    Merc DDT Terminal
    Ver. 5.0 Cartridge
    84-822560A7 Cable
    84-822560A6 4 pin to 4 pin cable

With everything inplace and plugged in, turn the key to "ON"............Nothing on the screen. According to the manual this should be all I need. DDT worked fine on my o'l 225x motor so I know it's not the DDT terminal...Am I missing something here ???????????????

Re: DDT question ???????????? (Nikon Man)

I believe you're going to need the cable that has two "alligator clip" power leads- one for POSITIVE and one for NEGATIVE.

Additionally, I'm not sure that the 5.0 cartridge will work with your engine (that will require some "office research" next week).

I used to remember all the numbers.... but since we moved to the CDS about 5 years ago..... they've all slipped off to the "round file of yesterday"

Thanks Don, according to the Merc DDT manual I have all the right stuff but I didn't see any cables shown in there that would be used to obtain power (I sort of wondered about that) let me know when you have time, no hurry............it's still here................
