I may get beat up for this, but oh well. I think Miles took every bit of confidence that boy had built up so far this season, by putting Jefferson in after he threw that pick. The second pick was lack of confidence and rhythm in my opinion. He's a better quarterback than what he was able to show saturday night. He's got leadership and skills and up till this past saturday he was pretty much mistake free. I hope he gets the start this weekend even though it is a easy game I think he needs to get his confidence back and be ready when Arkansas comes to town after Thanksgiving.

+1. J Lee (By himself) got the tigers to #1 this year.

I agree. Hate to see it if they throw J Lee under the bus. He doesn't deserve that.
I agree with everyone, and i hate jefferson, BUT he was put in the game by miles and he stepped up. I hate the option, and i hate when jefferson runs BUT he did step up when he was asked since we did win saturday night, i think we should hope that both QB can work together for the rest of the season

I agree with all of you to some degree. JLee saved JJ hide multiple times last year and JJ stayed the starter, ever with a horrible overall offense.
I am a JLee fan, but he was rattled the other night and I think Miles made the right call. BUT, now JLee should be treated equally and get the nod again and agian to be the starter the rest of the year. We still have a way better offense than last year and are hanging 35+ repeatedly so it shouldnt be changed. He will bounce back and be alot stronger than JJ thats for sure. What did he JJ go, 6 or 8 games without a TD pass last year and stayed the starter![]()

Ed,not calling you out, but i don't see it being a who deserves it at this point,Miles is simply trying to win ball games and it just so happens he has 2 QB's that both play well together.Without a doubt, Lee has got the team where it is up too the bama game, but JJ gives another look, and although ugly can run the option. Anyone that has the chance go back and watch the game again ( i already did ) you will see that the option was actually working, not good, but working.
Remember, great teams like Bama make you get away from what you do and this game was proof of it. Lee is by no means gonna lose his job, but if he would have stayed in the game LSU loses, for the sole reason that he can't run the ball and Bama knew it all too well.
Lee never recovered from the Dont'a Hightower late hit that wasnt called.
Do Work !
You know the sad part about the whole thing, JJ isn't even a damn running quarterback. That pitch he made to Ford in overtime is probably the best I've ever seen him run the option. He was actually a pretty damn good throwing quarterback in high school. Hate to talk about race, but it seems like cause he's black then everybody automatically thinks he is supposed to be a running quarterback. I've seen middle school quarterbacks in my area run the option better than JJ. He usually pitches too damn soon and the back doesn't have much of a chance instead of letting the defense commit on the qb and then pitching. Seems as though from the get go at LSU they tried to make him a running quarterback and that has hurt his ability to read defenses and use his throwing ability. Just my two cents.
Agreed, and we have a running QB we made a wide recieverbut its working
Do Work !
J Lee has got to be a mentaly tough kid to make the come back he did after the disaster of his freshman yr. I hope he doesn't lose his starting job! the 2 QB system is working good right now. It must be a nightmare for opposing defensive coordinators to come up with a game plan not knowing how much time each QB will play. GEAUX TIGERS!!!!!!!Hog Roast the day after Thanksgiving.

It always comes back to comparing what j lee did his freshman year and what he is doing now. In his freshman year when he was thrown to the wolves he was a baby barely 17 yrs old. Can you imagine the pressure. He will do fine and as far as jj he doesnt realize how fortunate he is to still be on the team or even in school after what he pulled.

where the heck did you get that from????? he was 19 his freshman year when he started.
Lee was born 06/02/1989.... That makes him 22 years old when this football season started.
2011 season - 22
2010 season - 21
2009 season - 20
2008 season - 19
He redshirted in 2007, his true freshman year.
JJ, on the other hand, took over for Lee in his TRUE FRESHMAN year (2008), and was barely 18, as he was born 8/25/1990. In fact, when he made is first appearance in an LSU game against North Texas on Sept 13th, it was only 19 days past his 18th birthday. So this means that as an 18 year old KID, he led LSU to a DECISIVE victory in the Chick-Fil-A bowl and was named offensive MVP.
