    Need a scope

    Have to buy a new scope for my KP1 in 45/70. Was thinking about the Leopod VX1 in 3X9. Anybody else have any suggestions?

    I would go with the Nikon 3x9x40 with the BDC redicle !!! Luepold is good stuff , but the Nikon with the Bullet Drop Compensator will let you shoot a longer distance with ease !!!! If you sight the gun in with Hornady Leverevolution 325 gr and sight it in dead on at 100 yds the first compensation mark will be dead on at 150 yds , the second compensation mark will be dead on at 200 yds and the third comensation mark will be dead on at 250 yds !!!! Its what I have on my Handy Rifle 45/70 and I am very happy with it !!!! And its also under $200 !!!!!!! The Leupold is a great scope but I would try the Nikon on this one !!!! If it dont say Leupold or Nikon , I dont buy it !!!!!!!

    Did that last year. The resolution that scope is amazing, but the subject matter is kind of $hitty.

    Barry I have the Leupold rifleman on my 45/70. I was told it was good for the high recoil. It has been driving nails at 100-130yds for 3 yrs now.

    Buddy what size Ziess is it? I need another scope on my 300 win mag.

    I use a nikon buckmaster on one of my kp1's and a nikon monarch on the other one. either is great
