Need some help

There's a spot I caught some good fish in a while back, went there saturday and it's almost choked up with coontail and hyacinths. I know the fish are still there but I couldn't get a bite. I did everything I know how to fish and nothing. How do ya'll fish the thick coontail and hyacinth.

1 oz weight and a TX rigged Alchi Craw. That'll punch through the mat to get to the fish. That or a 1 oz jig.
