Just got my 898 si working correctly after a patch from humminbird. Maps look ok till I scroll over to bayou pejion and bayou sorrel. Just a big blank spot. Are you kidding me, $1300 later still dont have a usable gps for the spots I spend the most time in.
Scroll over to lake verrett, well it's there but all the good stuff ain't.
What card are yall running for these areas?

Don't matter what brand you get you will not have good information for maps down south. Heck not even aftermarket mapping have good info.

If I get the navionics gold 1xg, will I be able to see canals in the basin and verett area?
I would like to here from someone who fishes this area and runs this card before I drop $175 o a SD card.
Theres a card for it, but it cost about $400... But it has awesome detail!!

Well i went to bass pro to view the cards and the " insert derogatory term here" guy working the electronics counter had the hummingbirds so f'd up I'm not sure if they were reading the cards or not. If they were the areas I need aren't there.
Its fixing to be a moot point because I almost got all the canals in verett laid down as tracks and am soon to do the same in pigeon.
