smartcraft ? (low reserve oil )

on a 2005 300X . reserve low oil buzzer keeps going off about every 3-4 min. both motor and boat tank are over 3/4 full. smartcraft is showing 44% oil reserve. can someone tell me what is wrong? thanks

I think you already got this answer from Jason, but in case it was lost in the board move.

Tank on the motor must be full to the top with cap installed, you can either fill it manually by removing cap on land and fillig from bottle or while motor is ideling you can lossen the cap and it will self fill, but be sure to watch it it will fill fast!!!!!!
