    Smartcraft problems

On the lake this past weekend I went to reset my fuel usage on my smartcraft to see how much I was gonna use for the day. When I tried to clear it all I'm getting now is blinking numbers on everything but voltage and water temp. It does not matter if motor is running or not, with the key on all it does is blink and show decrease and increase on any setting like rpm, water pressure etc. I lost my manuel but I think you can reset all funtions back to normal? Also thinking it possibly may be a bad ground? It even showing 0 hrs. on motor. Never had a problem before and I'm puzzled. If it helps this unit is the basic sc1000 hooked up to an 04 250 xs. If someone can point me in the right direction please.

Perform a "Master Reset", and then disconnect the instrument overnight.

Reconnect, and go through the setup (often solves this type of problem).

Here's a link to the manual for your reference:

    Re: Smartcraft problems (EuropeanAM)

Thank you sir, I got it straightened out w/ master reset and everything working Got it figured out once I found my manual last nite. although I noticed you said that after I did the master reset to disconnect overnite, I did not do this procedure so I'm hopin it won't act up again? If so I will try unplugging. thanks again for the advice.

You'll probably be just fine if it's working correctly now. In about 90% of the cases we see, EITHER the master reset (or disconnecting the unit overnight) resolves the problem.

I simply recommended both to "give you a little better odds".
