Miss. River is 11.6 ft at New Orleans today Corp. projects it to be 10.0 ft. on 4/19...but on 5/04 the river will jump 4.5 ft. to 14.5 feet in only 16 days. Lots of water coming down the Ohio to the Miss. river. The Atchaf. river gets 1/3 of its water from the Miss... so its going to rise quickly then too. I used to watch the river levels closely for over 40 years when I fished Venice a lot.

It's got a long way to go for Venice. But if u know where 2 go, you can still catch them in the high water.

Went Sun. and didn't have much luck.....water is still a little to high.
