Boatless bank trash, but I can hold my own from the back of the boat....

Fished it 2 weeks ago, they had 33 boats that fished. 20 bucks a boat. 4:30 - 7pm Launch in the Company Canal at the bridge. You have to pay your money at the New Bait shop on the corner.

i hate this tourny..
its every week.. at these are my local fishing areas.. which are very small and doesn't hold up to much pressure..
i wish he would drop it to once a month or better yet.. totally.

there have been some very fishy events with one guy that lives on the bayou. I was not a witness to it, but its been circulating around. He would be fishing one end of the bayou for the entire tournament and 10 minutes before the weigh in he passed the weigh in going towards his house (2 minutes away) and then comes right back with the winning stringer on more than one occasion..
but the real reason is its only a 2 hour or so tourny so you can't run far. It just brings lots of extra boats to crush a small area EVERY WEEK..
there are some specific spots very close to the launch that no one ever really fished before and most of the time I can bank on catching some decent fish on. But with this tournament holding everyone close to the launch site the spots got KILLED..
I know its part of fishing public areas, but thats the reason I dont like this tourny every week

I promise you that the weekly tournament there does much less to impact the fishing than the meathunters that absolutely pound Lake Long and Lake Fields every day. I talked to a guy in Lake Long about 2 years ago and he swore up and down that there was no limit on bass. I just shook my head and moved away.
