Can someone fill me in on this lake?

I stopped by today for the first time. I looked at the ramp and it looked like it might be a good enough ramp. There were several trucks and trailers there.
The water has always looked good. I was just wondering if it was a private ramp?
I know that some are not marked as wildlife sanctuaries, or people take the signs down to keep people like myself from just launching at will??????????

its not private...it is a wildlife sanctuary... they call it katrina lake...its was just floatant marsh before katrina, she blew all the floatant out and dredged a big hole there...they catch nice bass in there...its a good ramp...ive seen bayboats in there...

ive been checking it out hard, havent been in it yet...i stopped the other day and talked to some kayakers...he showed me pics on his phone of bass hes been catching in there...nice ones....

he says its mostly a big very shallow flat and hed never put a motor boat in there, but i have seen boats in there...i keep saying im gonna dump in there one day to check it out with the depth finder...

i know ive seen boats on that southeast corner grassline several times...the kayaker said thats where he fishes and it over his head deep...(he was about 6 foot)...

cool...i hope you do...id like to hear what you do in there...ive been checking it out for a month now...i just havent bothered to dump in...i been catching too good on the pearl...

if ya dont go, im gonna have to go try it out some day...ive been too dam curious...

Right now the Pearl is messed up, someone up-stream is dumping large amounts of mud in it.
I will say I have found an alternative to my other places. This morning I put in this "Lake Katrina" as you called it yesterday. Good ramp. Good clean water. Seems to be a good place.

Everyone I know calls that lake eagle lake. Saw a pick of a 5 pounder caught there.

good to know...ive heard of an eagle lake, never knew where it was..

There is also an Eagle lake that is off the Mississippi River. That is the one most people talk about.
