Yes, I went to Lilly Bayou
I figure as much rain as we have had lately that would be the only place to find some decent water.
Caught 5 fish and was back at the ramp before 9:30. One on a spinner bait, one on a frog, and the rest on a Zoom Fluke witout a wieght.
I have never seen so much water falling out of the bayou. I had to put my trolling motor on 100% to move into the channel that goes into the lake. At 80% the boat would just hold steady in the current.
I also caught two Sac-O-Lait as well. Every drain was pouring water out. the water was very clear and black.
The fish were in there though. I missed about another 5 to 7 fish that missed the bait.
Been gone for a little over a week and I had too much jungle maintainence (yard work) to do, so I called it early.
I think I'll go to Slidell in the morning. The wife really wants to get out and maybe catch a few reds.
