the biggest problem john is that oil fell all last week by over 7 dollars and it was still rising......wont be fishing as much as i usually do this year

I try not to worry about the price of gas , there aint nutn we can do about it !!!! When it gets up high enough that we cant afford to do nutn but work , thats all we'll do !!!!! And when it gets high enough we cant afford to go to work , we just wont go to work , and thats what is gonna have to happen for the price of oil to be regulated some kinda way !!!!!!

Went through Amelia Friday on my way down to Bayou Black. I saw the most crew and work boats ever docked down there. By seeing that you can tell the offshore industry is at a crawl. Prayers go out to the guys out of work while we get through this offshore drilling ban. One year and a half to go before we can end this nightmare.

Fella's, I hate admitting this but, my company stock (Iwork for ConocoPhilips the 3rd Largest Refiner of Crude in the World) has been jumping out of the roof! Sad thing about it is that I feel the pain let everybody else at the pump. This is my career. I have been in this work sector for 20 years now. So I have seen the good with the bad an you can't blame President Obama for the high gasoline prices. Politically I don't agree with none of the philsophy that is being pushed by both the groups (Demmie Don't and Republicants) in D.C. Early in my career choice, I had a mentor (old timer) who was employed by Gulf Oil. I remember him telling me that the powers that be will not allow a substitute for energy. In other words he told me to never forget this phrase:

Actually, the rise in oil prices is because of 2 things (among others).

1) No drilling in the Gulf
2) Oil is traded in American dollars on the market. The feds have been printing money like it's going out of style, weakening the dollar to the point it's almost worthless.
