    Legend Boats

My buddy is prob gonna order or buy a boat from Legend, so we took a demo ride. I told them I would get on here and give my opinion of them. Fit and finish on the boats is amazing, not all features fit everybody but as far as paint goes, they def got that down pat. I drove the Alpha 199 with a 225 Merc Pro xs hanging on the back. Hole shot is damn good, boat stays on plane when you slow down to 17 MPH. Now to the ride. Legend boats do not have bow lift at all, and i mean no matter how high you trim nothing is gonna happen, not saying thats a bad thing, just something i am not used to. The boat handled great in the canal leading from pier 90 to the CAT, when we got to the cat it was semi rough, 2' chop, we met another boat, I wont say what kind, but its name starts with a B and it was doing the dolphin affect jumping from one spot to another. That legend rode great, i never got sprayed, never jarred or nothing. I was doing about 45 MPH and that boat felt like it was glued to the water, just thought i would share, I saw the Yeti over there at their booth drooling over that white and blue one too

    Re: Legend Boats (lasabre)

Nice to meet you Sam. Tried to get in touch with you after lunch, but my phone wouldnt do crap in that building.
Ive always thought the legend was a smooth ride too. Some on here will disagree. Def not a speed demon without any lift, but with that big bow it will cut a wake.

Legend has the best paint job of any bass boat on the market.

Is this the one you looked at? I took it at the Expo.

    Re: Legend Boats (KLSU)

I really liked the black and orange boat. The only think I didn't care for is the front deck storage. Didn't like the rod locker in the center, or how the compartments were divided on the driver side, but looks were awesome.

I didn't like the rod lockers in the center either but still a fine boat.

    Re: Legend Boats (Derek B)

The only model with the rod locker in the center and the divided storage compartment is the alpha 191. the 199 (the red one) and the 211 (the black and orange one) have regular rod storage and compartments. They put the rod storage in the center on the 191 so you can still fit an 8 foot rod in the shorter boat.
