93 Evinrude 140 questions

Since I bought my new boat, the "Ole beer can" (18 Express w/ 140 Evinrude) has been laying up for about 6-7 months, have been thinking about giving it to my son in law. Needs impeller,tuneup and trolling motor bracket fixed. Main concern is it has set of a while, do I need to do anything special before I fire it up, other than do the work I described

Did you condition the fuel?

If not, I would pull the carbs and go through them or at least pull the main jets and make sure they are clean.
