Any tricks to replacing the fuel line? Also, the line I purchased says the alcohol resistant line, but doesn't specify the bulb being ethanol compatible. It is made by attwood. Should I be concerned? Thanks.

Yes, and Yes. I'm not going to slam any particular brand of line, but I will tell you that I FILL a 55 gallon trash can with "aftermarket fuel line assemblies" that appear to be "brand new" each year.![]()
My recommendation: Start from scratch! Purchase ONLY the OEM Mercury or Quicksilver EPA Approved fuel line and primer bulb. We keep this line in 5/16" and 3/8" sizes, sold "by the foot", along with the OEM bulbs.
Installation is "remove and replace".... with the best "tip" I can give you to "heat" the end of the line in a cup of "piping hot water" (fresh from the microwave) for 20 seconds.... shake water off and install the line on the nipple.![]()

Good tip about the hot water. The kit I bought has mercury fuel line fittings. The OEM equivalent is Mercury: 32-80188A2. I guess I'll try to find that one. I appreciate the advise. Thanks.

Don't purchase ANY fuel line unless the part number begins with "8M".![]()
It should be GRAY line, with BLUE LETTERING (and NOT orange or red lettering).![]()
