    pcm during break in

Got my engine back from being rebuilt and it is set up to double oil for the break in period. I have kept the motor trimmed down to keep a load and veryed the rpms every 2 minutes or so and keep the rpms 2800 to 4500. Every once in while I'll pump it up to 5000 to 5200 but as soon as it hits this the motor starts slowing down and if I hold the throttle wot it will slow to 4000 almost like its going into gaurdian. Is this normal?????

    NO, IT IS NOT!

I would strongly recommend that you get this in and have the engine checked! Failure to do so could potentially result in a "repeat failure".

Took the boat in today and it turn out that the fuel line fell prey to ethnal . The inside liner seperated and was restricting the fuel flow.
Went to the lake this afternoon and the motor ran very well.
    Thanks again,
    Kent

    You're welcome!

Hopefully they utilized the new OEM "EPA" approved fuel line (gray with blue print).

I watch him install the new line and it was grey with red lettering. He said it was the new line from merc that was suppost to take care of this. ?????

Gray line w/red lettering is the "old" line (still good, but I personally MUCH prefer the newer design, which is more "ethanol resistant").

We keep this line in "bulk" if you need it.

I will give you a call later and order the line. I assume that I should replace the old line from the fuel tank to the bulb and replace the bulb as well or does the old line have the same problem??
    Thanks again for the help.

I would replace EVERYTHING between the tank and the engine (line AND bulb).

    Consider it "cheap" insurance.
