    Smart Craft questions

No 1. When I turn the key to on, the buzzer sounds about 6-7 times, thereafter the tacho says everything is Ok,
After another 10 sek the tacho says "check engine" + "temp sensor fault". But the first 10 sek the temp sensor works and gives me the right temp about 60 F (cold).

Why will the temp not work after 10 sek?

(the boat is on a trailer)

No 2. Do I need two "termination resistors" (with yellow cap) in both ends, one in the engine and one in the vakant contact in the hub. (I drive 16 pin remots+300 xs engine)
Now it is only the one in the engine who is yellow and the one in the hub looks more like a wheathercap.

There must be TWO terminating resistors in the system.

If you're utilizing the 14 pin cable.... you'll need the one on the engine, and ANOTHER plugged into the Junction box.

The terminating resistors indicate the "ends" of the data run, and without them, data will be "garbled".

If you ever need to test terminating resistors- their value is "120 ohms". A CAN 1 data circuit with TWO good terminating resistors will read 60 ohms between the "blue and white CAN 1" data wires.

Install the missing terminating resistor before looking for other problems.
