They said charges were being pressed, and possible federal charges b/c the lake border other states? Not real sure how that would matter but if they could that would be good.

Federal court is a whole other game. You don't want to go there unless your serving on jury duty. Fines and court costs are way more expensive than state courts and Federal Judges tend to have a serious attitude.

It would matter because the offense crossed state lines, the lake must have crossed the border like Toledo. It would be like haulin undersized catfish from a farm in Miss to La, If it crosses state boundaries the feds can gain jurisdiction on the matter.
yea thats exactly what the article touched on. Said if they could prove he did cross the line it would get turned over to them. I dont know much about that and hope not to ever learn
