    Gas/Water seperator

Anybody have the gas water seperator with the plastic bottom with petcock drain? Looking to get one and can't find the right part number.

Also where's the best place to buy Yamaha cables? thanks Jeff

    Re: Gas/Water seperator (Jeff La)

I don't have a water seperator on mine, so I'm no help. I'll look around for some cables. I'm assuming you want used since you're a tight bastage and not poor like me.

Jeff check with Cajun Outboards or if in Pierre Part check with the boat place ( forgot the name ) across from the Pierre Part store.
The one on my boat does not have the drain plug on it. If you get water in it you will have to change the filter anyway.
I think what you're looking for is called a Racor but don't know the part number.
The one i got from Yamaha was 40 bucks for the kit and the filter was included. The one you're looking for will be closer to 100 bucks i think.

Yea John that's the one I'm looking for. I know they are way more than the normal one, but I was just thinking it would be better on the party barge.

No Alan I'm talking about new, but I'm still looking for a deal, us poor people gotta watch our money close.

I guess either would be fine, and not having one would be a problem..

I was thinking maybe with the drain I wouldn't have to change the filter as often, but then your probably right if I get water I'd have to change the filter anyway.

I change mine once a year. the filter for mine is about 15 bucks. if you install one put the pump bulb before the filter, and fill the filter with fuel before you screw it on.

Check out the Racor B32013 Outboard Gasoline fuel filter - has the screw-on blue sight glass. About $55.00 @ Jamestown Distributors. Probably have betta prices elsewhere.

    Jeff,

Call or visit Industrial Filter Service on Airline Hwy in Praireville just south of LA 42. They handle all Racor and several other brands of filters.
