    DI and XD100

Dont forget this is the time of year in the cold states you wan to change over to the XD100 oil to prevent the no oil light from comming on. These cold early am runs with XD50 will set it every time.

Yep! I think I will even put some in my old XP 150.

If you can't run with the big dogs, just stay on the porch.

The oil lift pump with the higher viscosity of the cold oil sets off a no oil alarm, on the DI motors, believe me it will fall flat on it's face while the bow is just ready to break over and scare ya to death!!! The xd-`100 flows better as it's a full synthetic and keeps this from happening, Not to mention it cleans your motor and you don't have to decarb. I'm hoping that I can stay with it after this winter and not go back to the 50.
Luke, it may be cost prohibitive to run it in the carb motors, but if ya can swing it it is gonna be better for it!

What air temp are we talking about here? I had my 225 Ficht out last week on a 36 degree morning and was OK, I am still running the old 'Ficht' oil, just switched to the SD50 this tank.

They are the same and if your store your boat out side insted of a grage then you increase your chances of the alarm.

BRP recommends 32 degrees F changing to DX 100. I made the change this weekend . I think I will stay with it. The price is not to bad if you purchased bulk.

    Re: DI and XD100 (johnrude)

Are there any issues with mixing XD50 with XD100? I've got a half tank full of XD50 and don't want to try and drain it just to switch over to XD100 for the winter.

    Thanks,

    - Dae

Dae, They will mix, However I like to run the xd-50 down as low as possible before i do, for the xd100 to be the most oil in the tank JMHO
