have one of these at your garage door? My sister in law went out the front door to go to her car to get something and this sucker bowed up and hissed @ her. She called 911 and they sent the LWF contractor over to handle up on him. The contractor said it's breeding season.

Not at home, but I did have one waiting on me in a duck blind. One of the guys with me got in there and took him out and released him. It was about 4 ft.
my dad caught a 3ftr in his yard last week...he has no water within a 1/4 mile of his house. and that is just new river canal

Several yeas ago when we went through one of them bad droughts, I was welding in the shop, and I kept hearing something hissing at me...thought it was the metal, as I was welding galvanized...finally looked behind me and found an 8 footer sitting under the table behind me hissing at me...I about pizzed my pants...
And no...I did not shoot him between the eyes with a .22, wait till night time, and clean him, make a big sauce piquante with the backstrap, and cut the tail meat up for fry meat, and cook the legs at the LSU/florida game on the pit that year....

just curious what are ya'lls laws concerning gators? Ms opened a draw hunt in two problem areas and now you can get a permit to kill em on your property, but it's a big NO NO to just shoot one.
There are seasons and permits for trapping gators in La. but that would not have been considered if SIL had not called 911. He was a trespasser and a threat in my opinion.
