hey guys, I had a 92 200gt johnson that blew the powerhead. My mechanic had a powerhead from a 99 200ho that he put on my midsection and gearcase. The issue is that the motor hood from the 92 is different than the 99 and the powerhead is just barely touching the back of the cowling and vibrating under load. My question is if i could get a cowling and lower pans off of a 94-99 johnson/Evinrude and make it fit on the 92 midsection? Would there be any kind of modifications necessary? Thanks for any info you can give because i would hate to purchase a hood and lower pans only to find out it won't work.
