In case anyone is looking...it requires a 2 mile boat ride to the camp....deer, squirrels, rabbits, ducks, turkeys...most of everything...still hunt only, but adjacent club runs dogs...dues are $675 per year...camp on site...located in Plaquemine out of Jack Miller's...looking for people this month...spots will be filled by June 1...6 point or better...had less than stellar year the past 2 years...guess it is due to the hurricane...deer movements have been down...but we have more pictures of good bucks than I have ever seen before back there in 23 years...1500 acres, plus another 2500 or so of state land that adjoin us....19 members total...

How is the duck hunting? thats all i would want to do

Well, there was two hunts made by people in our club this year...me one day with a buddy, and me the next morning by myself...at least, in the bay and not in the woods...don't know of anyone who tried to hunt the flooded woods this year (we flooded really bad this year with all the rain...the worst during hunting season ever...we normally don't flood at all)...anyway...me and my buddy killed our 6 wood ducks of course, and like 3 mergansers..we were hunting in a cut and not the open water...but we saw no big ducks at all...the next day i went back...killed three woodies, but watched big ducks and blue wings fly all morning long 80-100 yards away across the open water...was in a hurry and left after I killed the wood ducks...maybe 20 minutes cause I am a bit rusty... like most places in S.LA....we got all the woodies you can handle, and the big ducks and what not are day to day...I really don't have the patience or the skill to hunt or call in big ducks, so for the 1-2 trips I make a year, it is for wood ducks, and we usually just kill enough to throw on the pit that night...

There is some excellent fishing round there too....
