    Went for a test run

Faron and I finished rigging my boat Friday, so I took her home. Saturday I put the trolling motor on then went see what she would. Terrible holeshot with that 29 tempest. I will take the plugs out and go for it again. With the propshaft an inch below the pad I was runnin 5400 at about 75 mph. I'm throwing so much water in the air behind me I look like miss budwieser. I can't get the front end to pop up. The hull feels like she doesn't want to break loose and run. I'm gonna try a 26 and 27 trophy plus and c what happens. I'm still gettin about 21 water psi. God is great and beer is good!

Moe, is that Buddy's prop? I'll let you try my 25p TXP, that'll get that bow up, sounds like you got a lot of tinkering to do with that thang.

If you take the plugs out, it will just blow out. Drill them out a little at a time until you are satisfied with the take off. Thats what i did. The prop probably needs some more cup in it. Its been awhile since I had Baggy work it for me. A 26 trophy will be too small. I borrowed a friends 28 trophy & it was still on the limiter at 5850. Also check the weight in the boat, balance is key for the bullets. The bullets dont need much positive trim to run either....Call me if you need anything Mo.

on a 21 they usually run below the pad to help carry the bow. On the 20's they usually run above

It may require a pitch down for that set up. That's why I would let him try my 25P. TXP, Then go from there, That 25 TXP is like a 26P, may be what he needs.

Re: Went for a test run (Bada$$Bullet)

The 25 or 26 TXP should do him right...Does it have the nose cone on it?
The water pressure at 20psi is too high, .If it has a nose cone the motor can come up a good bit.The 3.0L motors can run at 8 to 12psi at wot..My 225EFI runs at 10psi cruising, but i have a barge. .The water your throwing means your trimming to much..Bullets don't need trim like other boats to run.If you need help i'll be glad to help you with it.Also i have a 25 Mazco HP4 you can try,but you will probably hit the limiter

Re: Went for a test run (250XD)

Thanks guys for all the help. I plan to drop it down a notch or two then take them plugs out that prop and go try her. After I would like to go try cooneys wheel and a 27, 26 trophy. It's not a barge Roger it's my boat that I have been wanting for long time. Before u start calling someone elses boat a barge you might want to look outside at your canoe or ole wooden pirogue. Oh wait don't you have skeeter. Been there done that! She might not be the prettiest rig out there but she is mine.
