The 7th annual Brian Harris Chevrolet Dreams Come True Bass Classic was held Saturday March 6th at Doiron's Landing in Stephenville. A large gathering of spectators gathered to watch the 155 boat field make their way to the weight in area. A little less than half the field weighed in 5 fish limits. Weights were a little off for this time of year, but 404 fish were weighed in with all being turned loose alive.
20 places were paid with 13.25 being the cut off.
The $10,000 first place prize money went to Kevin Voisin and Bill McCarty with a weight of 17.17.
Word had it that they were in the spillway. 2nd place went to George Shaheen Jr. and Steve Fontana with a weight of 16.81. They made the run to the Far East. Third place went to Brian Boudreaux and Jeff Boudreaux with a weight of 16.63. Interesting was Big Bass, were only 1 top 20 team placed in the 3 big bass payout. 1st went to the team of Matt Bourque and Tanner Bourque with a weight of 6.33. They took home $1250. 2nd went to Mel Braud and Don Braud with 5.83. They took home $750 and 3rd went to Micheal Guillory and Randy Godso. They took home $500 plus another $450 for their 12th place finish. All the top 20 results will be posted on the web site later in the week.
