One of my employees asked to leave work a little early today saying he had to go speak w/ the sheriff. I was a bit surprised by his statement but didn't want to be too nosy.

He just called me and told me his mother was murdered today in Franklin. Meals for Sr citizens went to deliver her meal at lunch today and she did not answer the door so they called 911. The police entered the house and found her murdered. It appears it was a robbery.

My wife's uncle got shot in the arm a few years ago on a home invasion. He was watching his grandson for the evening, and his grandson woke up and came running into his bedroom to wake up the uncle because he heard them break in. One of the pieces of $hit ran into the bedroom with a gun (before uncle could get his) and pistol whipped him in the head. Uncle went down and was dazed. The two left the room and started looting the house. Uncle keeps a .22 under his bed, so when he woke up he grabbed the gun and shot one of them. The piece of $hit shot back at him and hit him in the arm. Then the two scumbags slithered out of the house. Grandson and his Wife were there the whole time

My better half does meals on wheels in Broussard. Her fear is that she'll find some senior citizen dead. I"m not sure she ever thought of them coming to such a horrible end, some scumbag robbing a defenseless elderly person. The POS when caught should be handed over to the relatives to be done with as they please. Thieves and child molesters shouldn't be given a second chance. End their gene pool!!! There are two States where that have their chit together. Florida, and Texas. In our State, the State constitution affords more rights then the USC. People have been charged with murder for shooting someone breaking in. It will all depend on the D/A weather you get a pat on the back, or a jail cell. I'm a cop, not a lawyer, so I suggest you read up on the laws, and even discuss them with someone in the know. With things happening today, you NEED to be prepared not only physically, but mentally, and LAWFULLY.

Also, word of advice. If you have to harm someone, for any reason, call your attorney asap. Do not talk to the police without your lawyer. Its your right, and it could make the difference in the above choices.

Elderly people are not supposed to have to keep a gun on their side. They should be able to relax and enjoy the rest of their lives peacefully. These people were poor & did not have much and did not bother anyone. I heard on the news it is a double homocide, they got the old man also.

I know a Judge and have a lawyer, so i can tell you this much....Dead cant testify, and how ever many bullets your gun holds make sure they ALL get used. Only thing you would need to tell the cops is you felt threatened and feared for your familys life. No cop is gonna argue bout that,cause cops are people too and would do the same thing if they had too.
