    How do you fish?

How do you fish when you know there aren't many fish in the area and you only need a few? Do you stay with a favorite bait all day or throw everything in the box? Do you cover a lot of water or try to work the areas really hard? We tried everything in the box working 5 areas hard and didn't get a bite on Blind River.

blind river???... i don't know if fish could be caught there with a sane net good luck though, i think this last hurricane set that area back a few more years. few months before gustav i was actually catching decent fish in that area. now i don't fish alot of tx but might not be a bad idea to start releasing fish in this area just to help a little with the population. just my 2 cents

Blind river is tough. I would try and and find a couple of canals were water is moving.
Then stay off the cut quite a ways. From what Ive been told, Blind river,
Ruddock moving water is paramount. How many skiers did they have.
Brush hogs. Baby -1's if grass will let you.

Only saw a few skiers. Water was moving everywhere, but boat traffic had all the banks muddy. Tried working the lilies and deeper water, no luck.

If you can find some healthy grass in the area, you will find the fish. Its not taking very much grass to hold a good fish right now.As far as baits, throw what you have confidence in.

If a couple hours pass and I'm not getting toward my 5 limit, i always revert to a tequila surise 7 inch worm. As long as you feel that on each cast you will get a bite, stick with that lure. I've taken my purple worm from bayou liberty to florida lakes to virginia rivers and more, it's my fail proof.

Roger blind river requires 2 baits i told you about before! Also spring crawfish colored bandit crankbaits. You gotta have the other 2 for down there. Like fishing the Lower pearl need DOA shrimp, baby spooks.

Re: How do you fish? (RogerR)

I went there about 3 weeks ago for an afternoon trip and caught a few, nothing that makes me want to go back anytime soon. i caught mine in the denham canal area by the locks.
