I hate to say it Jim.....but I won a pack of cigarettes on that game last night..... Just didn't feel good about it....but i really think it will help....seems like Miles had become too used to winning.....just didn't look like the preparation has been there this year like it was last...maybe this will get them back on the right track...

Alot of it has to do with most all of Saban's players now being gone, and plus, I really don't think that Miles is that good of a coach, cause if he was, Michigan would have hired him last year. The Gaytors looked better coached and was way faster than LSU.

You are kidding, right? please tell me you didn't open that can of worms....Miles has had excellent recruiting classes and is on track to have the #1 class or near it this coming class..............I imagine that all of those players Saban recruited were ready to play out of high school too huh? no development needed....Miles didn't develop any of them, or use them correctly, or assemble a great staff.....some of you guys kill me....we have had the three best season in LSU history, and ya'll can't give him credit....You know what the almighty Saban's record was at LSu when he had an entire team of all his recruits? 9-3.....Miles has done better than that each of the past 3 years....

You do know that Michigan tried to hire him last year too, right?

To me the Tigers just seemed flat and played with no emotion. Don't know whose fault that is. The coaches can try to get the guys ready, but ultimately its the players who have to make the decision that they want to win it. The quick scores seemed to take them out of their gameplan. But the Tigers do have some weaknesses beside QB. The cover guys are going to have to step it up a notch. IMO

Huh? He was offered the job last year......he was offered a much bigger and better contract at LSU...that, among other things is why he stayed at LSU....thats not speculation....look it up....

As far as last year being a fluke....jesum...come on....the past three years have been flukes????????????????????????? He has the same record the past 3 (last year had one more win because of one additional game to the schedule)...the fact that everything fell out like it did for LSU to play in the NC game was amazing....but to say that last year was a fluke because he finished the season like he did....well...we have won every bowl game under him, finished with the same win/loss record, and have had a better 3 year stretch than any that Nick Saban has had ANYWHERE he has ever coached before.......that isn't kool-aid my friend.....those are facts...

And the facts are he had Saban's players. If Miles is such a great coach, then why didn't he win Big 12 titles and NC at Oklahoma State? Fact is, until Saban got to LSU, LSU was not a powerhouse by any means, it was a second tier SEC team. 4 SEC titles from 61'-88', then Saban arrives in 00' and LSU wins the SEC in 01' and the SEC and NC in 03' under Saban. We will see what happens to LSU over the next couple of years, by the way, LSU will lose atleast 2 more games this year, maybe 3.

And then proceeded to have a 3 loss season (with his players) to finish behind Auburn, Georgia, and Tennessee after winning the NC.

I'm starting to get the impression you don't like Miles, but you think Saban is the savior.

Not really... I just like giving LSU fans a hard time..., like I do at work by walking around all day hollaring "ROLL TIDE". When ya'll have 14 straight 10 win seasons, never finishing out of the top like FSU did, then ya'll come hollar at me, but we are paying for it now, what goes up, must come down.

Never thought of it that way. And if we had a cup cake schedule like FSU where you only play one good opponent all year, we could have a record like that. The only REAL game they had to play was Miami.

Yeah...it wasn't too hard to get a ten win season when you played 4 games against St Augustus school for the meek, and the other 6 against Sister Mary School for disadvantaged girls......now that they are in the mighty ACC though, they are getting pounded.... So let me see if I can get this straight.....Miles played with Saban's players the last three years...he had a better record than Saban ever had with any of his own players....so am I to take from that that Miles is a better coach than Saban when it comes to players that Saban recruited, but that Saban is a better coach with players that he doesn't recruit? I'm confused....what were you saying again? Oh yeah...Saban is playing with Mike Shula's players at Bama and won a NC at LSU with Gerry Dinardo's players...I remember now...

everybody keeps talking at les having saban's recruits but nobody ever talks about saban having shula's recruits. He only really uses one of his one recruits and Juilo Jones is a good one.
