    EVERYONE CHECK IN

I hate to say it and jinx anyone around the house, but looks like the Leesville/surrounding area got spared so far....to be honest I've been in the woods deer hunting in chit as bad as it got here....not to say no damage anywhere, but it's been light so far....how's the rest of the gang?

    Re: Everyone Check in (Wormy)

Sitting in Texas. My house is OK. I lost the top part of my chimney and a few shingles. My son's gym set is gone, but that is minor.

Most importantly the boat is fine!

    Re: EVERYONE CHECK IN (Basshuntr)

This is Jim's wife, Luby. He's still at Toledo Bend where we stayed for the storm and he asked me to check in here. Everything is fine and just very thankful to have electricity, running water, flushable toilets and a place to lay our heads at night.

Hope everyone is ok and please remember to say a prayer for our neighbors in the southern part of our state who took the brunt of this storm.

We're OK too, we dug out yesterday, had light damage and trees down.... but we were lucky..... we moved into my tackle shop 20'x24' and made camp....... we got power tonight around 7:30 pm, so we moved back into the house........
    Sure hope everyone is OK,,,,,,,,
We even got a friendly call from the IRS, c/o of Alan....... All I told him was bring lots of Dr. Pepper & snacks......

All is well in Ragley. We got lucky, and never lost electricity. Cleaned up what little mess we had, and headed back to the Gulf for another week of fun.

Hang in there Rebel, I heard that it was in the mail as of this morning!!!!!!!

Plus, you're in south La. now, it's to hot & muggy/nasty to be doing anything behind a privacy fence anyways, get yourself inside to do that.........

    Re: EVERYONE CHECK IN (kirbyv1)

Been here all week just getting power back this evening. Been living by the generator. No damage at the house just a few trees down on back of property. First day of work this week, so, all is good.

Everything is good on my end. I stayed at the camp, no bad weather to speak of there, just rain. House in Broussard made it as well, no damage other than an ugly yard. Glad to hear that most everyone came out of this okay.

    Re: EVERYONE CHECK IN (Basshuntr)

We survived. I managed to bring my laptop to my Grandmother's house and get on dial up for a minute. We got it real bad over here. I live a few miles from Chad D. by False River in Pointe Coupee. They are talking about getting power for my street by middle of next week. We are on generator at about 7 gallon$ a day. But we are all safe. I don't know if the few tree's that didn't fall for Gustav will be able to make it if Ike hits. that we don't get slammed back to back.

I hope all is well and that we make it through this.
    Take care all........
