Kyle I turned on Lula St. and Luby and I drove to your camp like we had it on GPS. After 11.6" of rain the yard was still a little soft but looks like you guys are just about ready to go. I did time it and we are 4 min. camp to camp by car and would say about the same by boat. We just got back from TB last nite but I will be going back up soon. Let me know if you are going to be there and we can at least have a and I can watch you work.
The wind was so bad all week I didn,t even put the Champ in the water. For the biggest part the lake is a little stained with the south end being better. The water is about a foot under my pier so we don,t need any more for a while. TBJ

I won't be there this weekend, but my parents should be. The camp is "sleepable" now, so no more 1 day trips from Houma.

I think the best thing about where both of our camps are is boat launch, gas station, grocery store, restuarant, motel, and Toledo Town are all less than 5 minutes away. Its even better if most of your neighbors live there full time. We actually have a neighborhood watch program and if you are gonna be out of town for a while just let the folks next door know. Looking forward to the "grand opening" weekend Kyle I know ya,ll are gonna love it. TBJ

My uncle's camp is on the Texas side...we stayed there once while working.

Seriously, it's not that bad of a drive....I couldn't do it every day, but we did what we had to do. If I drive up, bust my azz working and drive back without looking at the lake, I'm good. If I see the lake, it's all over with...my mind won't be on my work anymore.
