How would one convince Merc to build a 200 Pro Xs with a 25" shaft also? All the other models are available in 25"?

They basically do.... except for some decals and carbon fiber reeds.![]()
The Standard 25" 200 will run VERY strong.![]()
Haven't heard of any plans to expand the "ProXS label" into the 25" model (at least not yet).![]()
Of course.... if you want to order about a thousand units, anything is possible.....![]()

Speaking of Carbon Fiber reeds is that something that could be added to my 06 200 Opti?
When i use to snowmobile, that was always a awsome mod and safe to add to the engine, with a little jetting, the results were always quite impresive![]()

I don't recommend modifying the reed configuration on an Optimax Engine. It can (potentially) result in a lean running condition, and eventual powerhead damage.
The "Speed/Density" fuel injection system used on these engines has no means of "realizing" (or compensating for) a change in airflow.![]()
