They got completely outplayed last night. Once again, Bill Self did not have his players ready for a team like this...it is the same game plan you see every year when KU gets knocked out of the tournament. They get out scrapped, the opponent shoots and makes a lot of 3 pointers, and KU misses important free throws. the opponent has them so worn out and confused they control the game.
And this is coming from a KU fan...I think Bill Self said it great after the game...this isn't like other years when we have lost to mid majors, those teams were good, we are not good this year...
Seems as though he is calling his players out, telling them to forget about the tradition of KU, this year you won't have anything handed to you, play your best or get beat this year. Hope he can get things turned around for this group, as good as Thomas Robinson was last night with 21pts and 18 reb. I saw him get a 3 pter drilled in front of his face atleast 2-3 times last night...getting lazy on the defensive end...
