    Fishing For Freedom 2011

Our bass club http://www.theleavenworthbassclub.org/ just hosted it's 3rd Fishing For Freedom event this past weekend. Of course we had quite a few BBC members support with donations or there time to this event. I want to say thank you.
We had 114 Global War on Terrorism soldiers attend the all expense paid event. From lodging to meals and free fishing gear to all.
Here are a few pictures from the event. Sorry no weigh in pictures were taken on my camera. I was loading boats on trailers and my wife was preparing food.

Great event, had a blast. Nice to be able to give a little something back to those who have given so much. Can't say enough about how well run this was from start to finish. You Leavenworth boys should be very proud of yourselves.

I almost didn't get to go but am so glad things worked out. The guy that I fished with, well we started out fishing pretty seriously in the morning but soon it became a B.S. session and cutting up and different stuff, solving worldly problems, talking about family ect ect. Had an absolute great time.

We even caught a few feesh as well.

    I'm in for next year.

Rodney it was nice to meet you, it was brief and a hand shake but now at least I know who you are so if I see ya on the water I know to stay clear of ya!

Had a great time wish the fishing was much better...just was a tough bite. My warrior hooked into a 4# fish but lost it on a stump right next to the boat. He said that was the biggest fish he ever had hooked!
