Today's record snowfall was too much for boat docks on Grand Lake, many of which have succumbed to the extra weight, sinking several boats.
Photos e-mailed to NewsChannel 8 show the roof of the docks collapsed and boats overturned. The photos are from the Dripping Springs area on the south end of Grand Lake.
Paula Harbuck shot the photos and says not only have the docks there collapse, but there have also been collapses reported at Hammerhead Marina and Ugly John's.
Harbuck says they had to get on the roof of their floating house and get the snow off or their home may have gone under as well.
Damage from the collapse has not been estimated, but will be substantial.
The area received between 10 and 16 inches of snowfall in Tuesday's blizzard.
