Falcon Micro Guide Head Turner Rod

Anybody have this rod? I chose to replace one of the older head turners that I broke with this rod. I went fishing with it for the first time this past weekend, and was really disappointed. It felt like I was pitching texas rigs with a crankbait rod...super slow action, it bends well past the bottom eye of the rod. I am hoping it is just a defective rod. Let me know if any of you have this model, and your experiences with it. I sent an e-mail to falcon this evening about the issue, hopefully I can get it resolved.

dude I have that rod and want another one. I don't know what you got a hol dof but mine is the shit. It to me is a true power flipping and pitch'n machine. I love mine nice soft tip and a ton of back bone.
Cheaper to keep a kid in tourney fishing than paying attorneys to keep them out of jail !!

I don't have the micro guide version but have the Cara T7 split grip Head Turner and it sure doesnt sound like what you got. I can really load up and give a mean hook set with mine.

You should see the new experts! . My guess is you have the moderate action. Plus if anyone is interested I will have all my t-7's for sale this winter after the season is over

They don't make the head turner in a moderate action. The model # is: CCM-6-1610. I was really excited to get it, but I am not exaggerating when I say it is like a crankbait rod. Falcon e-mailed me back today and said that I could send it back, but they couldn't promise they would replace it. They said: "You may send them in for evaluation. If the rod is within our action tolerance I'm afraid we cant replace them especially if they are used and cant resale them. If the rod is dramatically slower in action and not used we could possibly replace them." If this situation doesn't get rectified, I might be selling all my falcons. I love my rods, but I have had one too many bad experiences...
