    Will performance improve 2007 ProXS250

Just got my boat back from a local "Mercury Dealer" needing the TPS sensor replaced under warranty.
They also replaced the fuel lines, filter and plugs.
After only one time out, I felt the boat was not reaching the top speeds I recently had before.
I pulled all the plugs, finding 3 loose plugs that came out with out any tools, and all the gaps were .30-32

I re-gapped to .42 and torque to 20 lbs. for each plug. I am now waiting till Monday to see if things run better.
I am sure that the loose plug issue would most definitely effect performance.

Question: but what is the effect of the gap change?

There should be NO change in top-end performance from gap change.

However- a loose plug or plug wire will DEFINITELY make a difference in performance.

If you were able to remove spark plugs without a wrench.... seriously consider another dealer for future service (and at least let their service manager know what you found, so that they are aware of the problem).

Had a great running boat today, seemed smoother on wot, and idle was fine.
As far as another dealer, I am looking for property in Greenville,S.C. so I know I would get the best dealer!
    Don, thanks for the input..
