I've got a whole day off work and school next Friday and think I'll take the boat out. Any suggestions? Lookin to stay around 100 mi. of Wichita. Big Hill, Sooner, Butler SFL, Kingman SFL. Anybody had any luck anywhere? Was hoping to get one more good trip in before I start committing to power plant lakes full time.
I'm thinkin I'll goto Wilson reservoir if I can switch my days off around, heard the smallie bite is going pretty good up there.
We had been catching a lot of smallies in the weed beds at the dam end. Look for catails on the bank and fish the weeds in front of them. That was 3 weeks ago though, post how you do I'd also like to go another time this year!!

was headed to work this morning and there was a teal laying on the center line on the highway.. don't know what had happened , but it was laying on it's back with it's feet just a kicking .. it looked funny as Hell.. if i would of seen it sooner i would of stopped and picked it up ,, It would of made Supper for my 3 cats

Jay... I was at Butler SFL last weekend and we caught them... ok but not real crazy. I had a 21 1/4 and two in the 17's.
