    Gas question

    Hello,

I am from Sweden and I am driving a 17 feet boat with a 300 XS.

In Sweden yours 91 octan is comparable with our 95 RON.(different ways to calculate in Euriope and US)

Unfortunately it is very unusually to find 94 (US octan) in the Swedish archipelago but 91 (US octan) i much easier to find.

Is it injurious to drive my 300 Xs with 91 (US octan)?

I dont compete or drive hard, just for pleusure. (WOT record at most for 1 minute).

Also it is much colder here during the summer if its have an effect on.

    Looking forward....

    /Patrik

    Re: Gas question (Fjordling)

    Patrick:

You can use fuel formulated with either formula, as long as it meets or exceeds the following specifications:

91 Octane by the (R+M)/2 Method

    96 RON Octane Method (International)

Any lower octane than those specified leaves the potential for detonation, and severe engine damage, regardless of your "operational tendencies".

See page 38 of the owner's manual for further details.

BTW.... bet that engine moves your 17' hull around pretty well!!!!

Lou: Have you looked into this. I was wondering how many points it would raise any particular gas
