Dardanelle is an impoundment of the Arkansas River..that little stretch between the dams covers about 50 miles..

    Re: Dardanelle Report... (catchatoad)

Had a great time fishing that lake in March. Ben and I reeled in back to back 15 # sacks and it was our first time ever on the lake I'd imagine you'd need 20+ #'s to have a chance at winning a T during prime time Sounds like it doesn't slow that much in the summer

For Dardanelle in the Spring in a good year, 23-25 pounds. There arent many Lakes in Arkansas that can turn out 20 pound bags any given time. To clarify a little, this would be tournament size bodies of water. There are some smaller public lakes here that could produce a 25+ any given day. The Arkansas River at Dumas is just as good as Dardanelle. Any given tx over there could take 20+. Ouachita is gonna be a 20+ in the winter and spring, so will Degray. Milwood would be right up there with Dardanelle, but the AGFC has a three fish limit there, so its tough to get a big bag there. Anywhere on the Arkansas River could turn out a close to 20 anytime.
