These babies are getting high priced. Anyone know of good deals on per case basis for pheasant loads? Say 1 3/8 oz or 1 1/2 oz of shot, 4's, 5's, or 6's?

Roger's in KC always has some good prices on shells. Nots sure what they got going right now but usually in late August they have a huge hunting sale with killer prices (no pun intended). If you'd need anything from there just give me a holler as shipping for a case of ammo is a bi!@*.

I'm about ready to shell out some $$ to get on a REAL pheasant hunt up in SD or something; I'm tired of this crappy KS walk-in-hunting stuff. Can't say I've ever been on a good pheasant hunt but I got a feeling it'd be a ball.
We go through 'em in SD. That's why I wanna stock up. And yes, I do hit a lot of 'em, too.![]()
Jason - you know I'll take care of you if you need shells... I just need to know when you need them by.

Hopefully no more problems cause I have been Using Fiocchi's for years![]()

I have been selling ammo for 12 years now for Fiocchi and we have had a FEW problems just as EVERY other manufacturer out there....
Over the years I have sold more than 10k cases of steel loads and have two instances that have been brought to my attention.
I don't care which ammo you manufacturer it is - they all have had problems. I'm just glad when Tim's situation happened that no one was hurt. Shooting a quality guns matters.
Terry,
My dad and I used to Fire Federals all the time and didnt have too many problems......we did have quite a few that the primers were bad on them cause they were struck but never went off.........we usually waited a bit with gun away till we though it may not go off.............other than that the ONLY problem my dad has Ever had with a Fiocchi was his 1100 did not like the Brass casing and it would occationally not discard a spent load......but I think that was his gun and NOTHING to do with anything else.........His Winchester adn my Stoeger have not had anything wrong to this day with any of our loads though..............Even though I didnt go out ONCE last yearI still need to get a few boxes.....I dont shoot Near as much as you fellers do

Yeah, I know. It could have happened with any type of load. TIm was lucky, but he does shot a quality weapon (Beretta). I have never fired Fiochi loads, but wouldn't be afraid too. I just have had good results with Kent Fast steel.![]()

You name it, I've shot it...they all malfunction sooner or later. The Fiocchi incident was by far the most severe and enough to not make me want to run out and by more, but that doesn't make them bad shells. I know their pheasant loads are very popular among the upland guys.
I have stuck with Kent Fasteel whenever possible, but have had misfires there too, just comes with the territory.
I know one thing, they are all getting way too expensive for as many rounds as I like to shoot from September through March...![]()
I like to shoot some clay pigions with the family all the time. but shells are getting outragous. Can't even buy poof shells for under 60$ a case.
