Some guys much more knowledgeable than me found my problem. The motor seemed to be running rich. The vacuum advance hose that goes from the intake to the computer was full of oil. It could not draw a vacuum. Idles and runs much better and smokes a lot less. Thanks to all that offered advice.
GREAT, but thats a MAP( Manifold Air Pressure) censor hose going to the ECU not a vacume advance...

Barry,glad you found your problem,you were on the right track in your reed post,your oily vacumn line helps control fuel mixture,not timing advance,but the results are similar.When you do need or want to replace the reeds we have a great product at a good price,satisfaction guaranteed,and the best in customer service,Chris
