    And your Governor's Cup Champion is.......



    Tim Strunk!

    Tim and his team weighed in the biggest smallie of the day and won the Governor's cup for their efforts. Fish was around 18" and weighed in just over 3 lbs. Tim reports catching it very early on and coasting to an easy victory. Good job Tim. What are you charging for autographs now???

    The Salina club had 7 guides participating and Steve Johnson, from our club, brought in the biggest wiper. Great weather and a good time was had by all, despite the fishing being really really tough. Kudos to KS Wildscape for putting on a good event such as this.

    Thanks guys, I'm still pretty excited about the whole thing. Biggest tournament I have ever won and I know it isn't much compared to what a lot of you have done, but it meant a great deal to me. Fishing was very tough, I just happened to get a lucky bite. I only caught 4 smallies all day, luckily one was a good one.

    The coolest thing was keeping the Cup in the Salina Bass Club for the third year in a row. Salina guys had the top 3 smallies yesterday plus the biggest wiper like Jason mentioned.

    I was pretty proud of Jason and a couple of the other bass club guys, they held their own at the bar Friday through too many Jager bombs and whiskey pops.

    And I seriously dount any of these guys want to see those pictures...
