Lucky for us we were north of the twisters. TONS of rain and hail so we didn't get any damage. I'll admit it was scary though. Your driving through huge rain and the radio is saying it's a "rain wrapped" tornado so you can't see it. 'It's in such and such county.'
Being out of towners we had no idea what county we were in.

Thats a little too close to home for me.I have some friends that live in Greensburg.
Sounds like Greensburg got wiped off the map by an F5 that was over a mile wide. Pretty scary deal for those involved.

MSN.com has a video of the damage on their website. For anybody who has been to Greensburg you might check it out and see just how extreme the damage is.
Greensburg is where we stayed at when we went pheasant hunting the last couple of years. I don't think that we'll be staying there this year though.
Fella's I got my travel delayed due to the Greensburg tornado. Went out with my unit to assist with security on the town.
Let me tell you the pictures you have seen of Greensburg on TV in no way show what it is really like there. That town is devistated. I have never in my life ever seen or imagined anything with such destruction.
The town is leveled, literally. Tornado was over one mile wide and stayed on the ground for something like 1 hour. The damage is unimaginable.
Send your prayers to those poors soles of that community.
36 hours straight on duty and I am off to catch some shut eye before catching a flight to P.A.
