Took the daughter out to drown some minnows this afternoon. Found the crappie in 4' or less. Caught about 30, but only kept 10. All 30 11"-14". Nice white fillets! Can't wait to fry them up.![]()

Always a fun time to fish for them when they move shallowTuttle is stocked full of them, here in a few weeks you can pretty much pick any shoreline and wack a bunch.
Do they get big in there? I regret never fishing Tuttle while I was stationed at Riley. I heard it's pretty poor for bass.
Pretty bad for bass but the crappie fishing is excellent. I don't think its reported as well as it actually is by KDWP. I've caught hundreds and lots of them are real nice slabs.
I've been meaning to get to tuttle in the winter time for some cold water crappie fishing but never have. I've heard that it is way under rated for crappie.
I've seen lots of people out fishing for crappie just never done it myself. Might have to try this year.
If this year is like past years, the best bite in conveniently right during finals week. Heck of an excuse to stop studying![]()
