Re: hey you boys out west (cgs2004)

In all honesty, this summer living in Olathe I plan to hit Hillsdale a lot. Like to get to La Cygne some too. I hope to get my boat registered to fish some of the small county lakes around JoCo too.

With my gas budget and living in Manhattan right now, choices are Milford or Tuttle, take your pick

Yeah us "western" boys only know one lake. You might ask RJ about being able ti win somewhere other than Milford, pretty sure they put the hurt on the guys at Grand last year...

Also pretty sure Jason won a T on Wilson last year and won money at the BASS Weekender at Wilson. I don't guess any of us "western" guys are scared to fish anywhere, but like Casey said, with gas and time it is just easier for us to fish Milford most of the time.

Re: hey you boys out west (TimS)

Yeah, well luck has to come into play somewhere along the lines.

Grand was a fluke for RJ. Everyone knows RJ can't catch fish. Those pics fro OK were obviously photo shopped.

And Wilson is just down the road from Jason.

Birng your western butts over here to the east. West vs East shoot out.

One tourney here at our lake of choice.

One there at your lake of choice. Gee I wonder where we will fish?

Tim you can kill geese but I doubt your fish catching skills are on par.

Re: hey you boys out west (TimS)

    HELL it could be worse

You could live in SE Nebraska and not have any decent lakes to fish and have to travel a minimum of and hour up to three hours just to get a some "Good" water Sure we have our Farm ponds and ou mud holes that have green things in it.....but nothign Note Worthy of actually being called a Lake much less a Res.

    SO STICK IN YOUR REAR

Hey Ryan at least you wouldn't have any competition from them Milfordites.

Course they wouldn't be any threat anyway.

Well I can tell you that I've been fishign milford Since 2000.......only boated it since 2003 and it took one trip with RJ and another with Tim......I havnt been able to figure the lake out much but I can atleast catch some damn fish on there now...............Other than that Them Local boys must have some Ultra Super secret spots or Patterns that make them very consistent at catchign Fish.

Jason on Wilson is like a Duck to Water.......thats like his Backyard out there. Fished with him on there and he really knows the lake well........Of Corse Jason Baird does too

Pony creek is a really good lake. Its just on the north side of Sabetha. Great fishing. Lots of NB boats there.

Come to think of it I never seen a riley county or saline county tag there though. Hmmmm

Re: hey you boys out west (tritonryan)

I'm getting so tired of Milford, it's not even funny. I enjoy fishing any reservoir in KS that has good bass fishing potential. The problem we've had lately is that with the high gas prices, no one in the club wants to venture very far, so we always end up fishing Wilson and Milford a lot. I nominate different lakes for our club T's all the time, but we go where the majority wants to go. We used to hit Hillsdale, Big Hill, Eldorado, Cedar Bluff, Webster, Kirwin, Norton, Perry, Clinton, and Smithville. And I love fishing all of those lakes, as I get bored on the same lake all the time, but if we decide to go someplace further away, you end up with only 3 or 4 boats.

If we don't start hitting other lakes in our club, I won't be fishing many club T's anymore.

That sounds like a great idea. I would accept that challenge anytime. Would be tough to put something like that together, with everybody so busy on weekends.

I like the West vs. East deal, say when and I'm in. I'm sure RJ, Jason, Blaha, etc. aren't scared either...
